The 36-hole course is one of the most beautiful in the entire region and is equipped with the Les Chateaux with a links-course with large greens and long par-4 courses. The PGA-course has very fast greens. Les Vignes is also a very nice and most of all flat course. However, the demanding courses can sometimes pose a problem.
le Golf National, host of the 2018 Ryder Cup!
Le Golf National, located just a few kilometres away from central Versailles, was built to become the home of the Open de France, which took place there for the first time in 1991. Architect Hubert Chesneau created the 18-hole course Albatross with the aim to be able to receive great championships with ideal conditions for the players and spectators. The course has traits of a links course while demanding aggressive and bold on-target- playing due to the water hazards and bunkers. While Albatross is known for its superior condition and strategically demanding layout, the 18-hole Aigle Course offers a gratifying game for all levels of golfers thanks to the wide fairways, few bunkers and very good greens on softly undulating grounds. The third course at Le National, 9-hole course Oiselet, is ideal for practice.
The Evian Resort
The course at the Evian Resort Golf Club is an 18-hole course (6,120 metres, par 72) located in Evian-les-Bains, France. Its location on the shores of Lake Geneva, at the foot of the Alps, offers stunning views all the way round the course. It is one of the most beautiful golf courses in France. Evian Resort Golf Club offers a venue fitting for the status of the Evian Championship and the talent of its champions, while also offering amateur players a course on which they can fully express their golf all year round.
Le Touquet offers two totally different 18-hole course: "La Mer" is designed between wild dunes and reminds a bit of a Scottish links course. In 1976 and 1977 the French Open took place here. The more contemplative alternative to it is "La Forêt", where the fairways take course under age-old stone pine groves.
At Terre Blanche, the architect Dave Thomas has designed two prestigious, inspired and talented courses whilst preserving the natural beauty of the site. Le Château course, 6616 metres long is a demanding course in a sporting sense, a magnificent challenge accessible to any golfer with a handicap below 35.
Le Riou course, 6005 metres, elevated above the valley and its' medieval villages is a more technical course with undulating fairways. This course is reserved to Club Members, their guests and clients at Resort Terre Blanche.
