Pubs & Bars in Southport
The Southport nightlife has been invigorated with new bars and cafes opening up. With the popular trend of gin and whiskey there are plenty of bars to quench the thirst for a cocktail or two.
Remedy on Lord Street in the old Tourist Information building is one of the newest gin and coffee bars. It's a great place for relaxing, meeting and socialising with friends.
They sell over 40 carefully selected gins and match them perfectly to the different botanics and tonics. Throughout the day, they have a lunch menu and a good range of malt whiskeys and bourbons. It's easy to idle away an afternoon without realising!
The newly refurbished Bold Hotel at the opposite end of Lord Street is a great venue for most things. Themed DJ nights, Mediterranean inspired food, cocktails, guest ales, beers and a wine cellar means whether it is a quick drink to refresh, a lazy lunch or an evening meal there will be plenty of choice. You can even book in for the night!
Peaky Blinders, also on Lord Street, is a must visit to experience the 1920s period TV series. The panoramic windows onto Lord Street means you can watch the world go by and being a dog friendly venue, you can take all members of the family! By order of the Peaky Blinders you are invited to step inside and taste one of the draft ales!
El Rincon Bodega is a great place to stop if you need a nibble. Tapas on order with Spanish wine, sangria and a relaxing atmosphere underground means you can enjoy the day or evening with friends.
Traditional pubs selling pub food, real ale and a Southport tipple are all over the town. From the Sandgrounder on Lord Street which serves good value food and drink, plus as a live sports venue you know you can catch the game you want to watch.
Barons Bar in the Scarisbrick Hotel is the first stop for real ale, having been in the Good Beer Guide since 2001 you know that you can sup a good pint. Or head next door to Maloneys Bar for a cocktail and to see award winning cocktail flaring!
And it doesn't end there, up and down Lord Street and all of the streets in between you can meander through bars, pubs and restaurants, filling your boots and enjoying the Southport nightlife.
