Panmure Golf Course

Situated between the Courses of Monifieth and Carnoustie on the east coast of Scotland this James Braid influenced Golf Course is approximately 8 miles from Dundee 20 miles from St Andrews and within easy travelling distance of Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glagow.

Panmure Golf Course

Panmure is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world dating back to 1845, and is one of the twenty six clubs that originally helped purchase the Amateur Championship trophy first played for in 1885. We are delighted in June of this year to host regional qualifying for both the Open Championship.

Carnoustie Golf Links

The Championship Course has hosted eight Open Championships, one Women’s British Open and two Seniors Open making it one of the very few to have done so in the UK. The AIG Women’s British Open is scheduled to return to Carnoustie, for the second time, in July 2021.

Carnoustie Golf Links

It is one of the three courses used for the annual Dunhill Links, the others being Kingsbarns and the Old Course in St Andrews and in 2018 The Open Championship returned to the course. In 2018, the Championship Course was voted Best Golf Course in Scotland over £100 by the general public, the second time it has won the award in the past three years.

Arbroath Golf Links

In 1877 Tom Morris was asked to survey the Arbroath Links and give his opinion as to its suitability for a golf course, and on the 9th of March 1878 a course of 18 holes was opened with a game between Tom Morris and another great professional of his day Mr Rob Dow.

Arbroath Golf Links

The Course remained much the same until more land was purchased and in 1907 Mr Willie Fernie of Troon was employed to redesign the layout. It was not until 1931 that the great James Braid was employed to redesign the bunkering and his layout has not altered a great deal since.

Montrose Golf Links – 1562 Course

The 1562 Course features in Scotland’s top 100 courses for 2019 and has been described as “a magnificent stretch of marvellously natural ground”.  The 1562 Course challenges golfers with its undulating fairways and fast greens, made more difficult when the wind whips inland from the sea.

The 1562 Course has all the key ingredients to make up one of the utmost challenges in the world of golf – rugged and undulating (yet an easy walk), some deep bunkers, springy yet quick draining turf, bountiful gorse, sand dunes aplenty and fantastic greens.  A number of the holes run alongside the rugged Angus coastline offering some stunning scenery.

Montrose Golf Links

The course can also offer one of golf’s most significant challenges – the East wind demands the upmost respect even from the most experienced golfer.  The combination of all of the classic links ingredients are here in abundance, providing a demanding test of golfing proficiency.  However, we have also introduced a new blue tee which ensures the course is more accessible for higher handicap golfers.
