Nairn Golf Club

Ranked number 11 in the list of Top 100 Courses in Scotland 2015 (Golf World Magazine), this Traditional Scottish Golf Links Course was created from a Highland wilderness of gorse and heather, and tests the talents of professional and amateur alike. Founded in 1887, it is now one of the best courses in Scotland, and has hosted a large number of important championships.

Nairn Golf Club

The Nairn Golf Club had no humble origin. Masterminded in 1887 by the Edinburgh born advocate, Robert Finlay, like him the golf course was to grow immensely in stature. As for Finlay, the local MP, he rose to become a Viscount after presiding for three years as Britain’s Lord Chancellor, and remained ever faithful to Nairn.

Royal Dornoch

Royal Dornoch is spellbinding and many golfers from all over the world make the pilgrimage to this natural links at some point in their lives. It is often quoted as one of the must-play courses.

It’s the timeless setting that makes Royal Dornoch such a pleasing place to play golf. It’s wild, isolated and, at the same time, absolutely beautiful; there’s the blaze of colour in early summer when the gorse is in flower. The pure white sandy beach divides the links from the Dornoch Firth and it all feels very humbling.

Royal Dornoch Golf Club

Formed in 1877, Royal Dornoch means exceptional standards and we always aim to exceed the expectations of our frequent visitors and loyal members. However, we aim to do this in a relaxed, informal environment, with an emphasis on traditional highland hospitality.

Castle Stuart golf Links

There are significant differences among links courses – in topography, sea views, fairway contours, bunker styles, green complexes, landscape mosaic, and even the smallest of course details, e.g. path and step details. Distinctive Course Features is a photographic journey with text and music that highlights Castle Stuart’s distinctive character in the world of links golf.

Many links courses are known for their uneven or ‘rumpled’ fairways. Fairways can be flat in areas and ‘rumpled’ in others with differences in ‘lie and stance’ of tactical significance. Greenside rumple can disturb the release of an approach to a ‘short pin’ from certain angles. ‘Rumple’ is inherent to the charm of links golf that Castle Stuart embraces.

Castle Stuart Golf Links

At Castle Stuart, nature bequeathed an opportunity for a links golf course to enjoy a rich landscape texture of Scottish ‘whins’, gorse and broom, heather, and marram – pervasive accents constituting backdrops and context throughout the golf experience – from beginning to end and changing throughout the seasons as nature commands. A rich tapestry. A landscape mosaic. A rugged beauty.

Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club

Located on the Chanonry Peninsula in the ‘Black Isle’ our Scottish links golf course enjoys breath-taking views over the Moray Firth, very close to the City of Inverness. This links course is now confirmed as being the 15th Oldest Recorded Club in the World since 1793. The course was later re-designed by the five-time Open Champion James Braid in 1932.
