St Enodoc Golf Club

Overview

St Enodoc Golf Club, located in Rock, North Cornwall, is one of the best coastal golf spots in England. It has stunning views of the Camel Estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. This historic club offers a golfing experience filled with true links style. If you’re looking for a traditional challenge in one of the most beautiful areas of the UK, St Enodoc is the perfect choice!

Golf Courses

The club boasts two excellent courses: the Church Course and the Holywell Course.

The Church Course, designed by James Braid in 1890, is the main attraction. Regularly ranked among the top 100 golf courses in the world, it offers 18 holes set among sand dunes, cliff tops, and rolling terrain. Expect tight fairways, punishing rough, and fast, undulating greens. Wind is a constant factor here, demanding shot-making precision and strategic play.

The Holywell Course is a shorter, more forgiving layout, ideal for high handicappers or a relaxed second round. However, it still captures the charm and challenge of links golf.

Standout Holes

A standout feature of the Church Course is its variety. No two holes feel the same, and elevation changes make for a dynamic round. The most iconic hole is the 6th, a daunting par-4 that skirts the ancient St Enodoc Church nestled in the dunes. Another memorable challenge is the 10th, featuring one of the largest bunkers in the UK—aptly named “Himalayas.”

Facilities

St Enodoc Golf Club offers facilities for golfers. You’ll find a clubhouse, a pro shop for gear, and practice areas to improve your game. The club is dedicated to providing great services while making sure that the golfing experience is the main focus.

Tournaments

St Enodoc has hosted many tournaments, like the English Women’s Amateur Championships and other top amateur events. Its famous course and true links style make it a great challenge for serious golfers from all over the world.
