The Signature Course
Overview
The Signature Course at The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club offers a challenging 18-hole experience. Originally a 9-hole course, it was expanded in 1997 with a new nine designed by Peter Alliss.
Recent renovations have enhanced the front nine, adding water features and undulating fairways. The course now boasts large greens and improved aesthetics.
Course Layout & Design:
A standout hole is the par-3 10th, requiring a 136-yard shot over water to a wide but shallow green. The approach rolls back towards the water, adding to the challenge. In late 2016, the course layout was reimagined, leading to the creation of a new 18th hole. This par-5 features a meandering stream at a driving distance and an approach shot over water to an island green. It’s a memorable finish to the round.
The Signature Course is part of Nottinghamshire’s only 36-hole golf complex, offering a comprehensive golfing experience. The club provides facilities for golfers of all levels.
The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club presents an ideal destination for those wanting golf in England. The Signature Course combines challenging play with scenic beauty, making it a must-visit for golfers.
Clubhouse:
The club also offers stay-and-play packages, allowing guests to enjoy multiple rounds across both courses. Accommodation is available on-site, providing convenience for visitors.
Dining options include the Lakeview Restaurant, where guests can enjoy meals after a day on the course. The clubhouse provides a comfortable setting to relax and reflect on the game.
