The Meon Course at Meon Valley Hotel, Golf & Country Club is one of Hampshire’s top golf courses. This championship-standard 18-hole parkland course, designed by Hamilton J. Stutt in 1975, provides an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all skill levels.
It measures about 6,492 to 6,520 yards from the white tees with a par of 71. The course features a Slope Rating of 125 and a Course Rating of 71.7. The course is designed for accuracy and smart play, rather than sheer power.
Meon Course Layout & Design
The course runs through a beautiful oak forest, with mature trees lining many fairways and creating natural corridors that demand accurate driving. Doglegs characterise much of the routing, rewarding players who position their shots smartly to set up favourable approaches.
Tree-lined fairways and bunkers test every aspect of the game. The greens are smooth and not too fast, making putting enjoyable. The front nine holes are narrow, while the back nine is slightly more open, keeping the round interesting.
