La Hacienda Links

Overview

La Hacienda Links Golf Course is located on the Costa del Sol. It offers a fantastic golf experience that combines the classic links style with modern design and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. The course was first designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark in 1992. In 2021, it was revamped by the noted architect Kurtis Bowman, making it one of the best golf destinations in Europe. It features an 18-hole, par-72 championship layout that golfers of all skill levels can enjoy.

Course Layout & Challenges

The course stretches for almost two kilometres along the coast. It features wide fairways, double greens, and bunkers strategically placed. The gentle hills go down to the sea, ending with a stunning beach view. Every golfer can enjoy amazing sights of the Mediterranean Sea, the Rock of Gibraltar, and the faraway coastline of Africa from every green.

The course is designed with nature in mind. You’ll find heather and gorse along the fairways. Plus, the coastal winds, called Poniente and Levante, make every round exciting and challenging!

Every hole in the course has its own special charm. The new layout has several holes right by the beach, adding beauty and making the game more interesting. With its natural views and smart design, each hole provides a fun and memorable experience.

Facilities

La Hacienda Links Golf Resort boasts top-notch facilities, including a driving range and a practice area for short shots. The clubhouse features a Pro Shop and the Sal Verde restaurant, offering a wonderful dining experience.

In 2024, the resort proudly received the title of “World’s Best Halfway House” for its Calma Bar at the World Golf Awards, highlighting its commitment to excellence and innovation.
