The course was built on large salt flats, and the designers used five million cubic meters of sand and soil to create gentle hills and valleys. It combines traditional golf elements with modern features. The fairways and greens are made of lush paspalum grass, ensuring excellent playing conditions all year long. The club is also proud to be the first golf facility in the region that is 100% plastic-free.

In addition to the main course, there’s a floodlit 9-hole par-3 academy course. There’s also a special 9-hole night golf option, which uses holes 1-7 and 17-18, so you can enjoy golfing in the evening under zero-pollution lighting.

The 17th hole is a long par-4, which can be quite challenging because of its length and hazards. Finally, the 18th hole is a thrilling par-5 that has water running along the fairway. It leads to a green that is protected by three bunkers, making for an exciting finish to your game.

Tournaments Hosted by Al Hamra Golf Club

Al Hamra Golf Club is the first golf course in the Northern Emirates to host DP World Tour events. It has hosted several important tournaments, including the Ras Al Khaimah Championship from 2022 to 2025, the Ras Al Khaimah Classic in 2022, and the Hero MotoCorp Ras Al Khaimah Team Challenge. Before that, from 2016 to 2018, the club hosted events for the European Challenge Tour, including the Grand Final. These events brought in top golf players and showed off the great condition of the course for tournaments.
