Druids Heath Golf Course

Overview

Druids Heath Golf Course is a stunning place to play golf, surrounded by the Wicklow Mountains and the Irish Sea. It’s just a short 30-minute drive south of Dublin. This 18-hole, par-71 course is designed for all golfers. Each hole presents a new and exciting challenge, making your game both fun and interesting.

Course Layout

Druids Heath, designed by Pat Ruddy, is a golf course that stretches over 7,400 yards from the championship tees. It has a natural layout, fast fairways, and many ups and downs in the land. The wind is always present, making the game more challenging. Each hole is carefully placed through tough terrain, with tall grasses and gorse bushes that require golfers to use both skill and creativity.

Standout Holes

One of the most talked-about holes is the par-4 12th. With a view of the Irish Sea from the tee box, players face a daunting drive to a narrow fairway guarded by bunkers and wind. Another standout is the par-3 17th, playing over a deep ravine to a well-protected green—accuracy is paramount here.

Facilities

Druids Heath has great facilities for golfers. You can explore a pro shop and practice your swings at the driving range and short-game areas. Plus, you’ll have access to the luxurious Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort. The clubhouse offers stunning views, a friendly bar, and dining options—perfect for relaxing after your round of golf.

Tournaments

Druids Heath is proud to have held many important golf tournaments, like the Irish PGA Championship. This shows that it is one of the best places to play golf in Ireland.
