The Kittocks Course
Overview
The Kittocks Course at Fairmont St Andrews is one of the most beautiful places to play golf in Scotland. It sits on the Fife coastline and offers views of the North Sea. This championship course is designed to both challenge and excite golfers of all skill levels. Created by Bruce Devlin and Gene Sarazen, The Kittocks Course mixes classic Scottish links with modern resort golf. It’s a top choice for any golfer visiting St Andrews!
Course Design
The par-72 golf course is 7,192 yards long from the back tees. This course is designed for both skilled shots and strong drives. It has smooth fairways, deep bunkers, and water hazards that are placed carefully, requiring players to think carefully about their shots. On top of that, the coastal wind in Scotland can make things even trickier. As a result, every round of golf here is unique!
Signature Holes
Among its many highlights, the signature 17th hole, a par 4 known for its dramatic sea views and demanding approach shot, stands out as a true test of skill. The 15th and 16th, which also play along the cliffs, provide memorable moments as you near the end of your round. Each hole on The Kittocks Course offers its own character, blending natural beauty with strategic design.
