Ram Rock Course Layout

The course is 6,926 yards long from the championship tees, has a par of 72, a course rating of 75.6, and a slope rating of 137. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the course has a unique counter-clockwise routing that challenges golfers to make careful shots.

Narrow Bermuda fairways thread through hills, rugged natural rock outcroppings, and native plants. There are 62 bunkers, 10 water hazards, and dry creeks that protect the Crenshaw Bentgrass greens. Many holes curve to the left, rewarding straight and well-placed shots.

Recent enhancements have preserved the championship character while improving playability but made it more enjoyable for all players.

Course Challenges

Golfers face tough challenges on every hole. Narrow fairways require careful tee shots, and changes in elevation make for difficult uphill and downhill lies. Fast, sloped greens with small dips challenge putting skills. Water and rocks can penalise missed shots, but there are also chances to take risks and add excitement to your game.

Ram Rock Course Signature Holes

Signature holes at Ram Rock Golf Course are memorable. The par-3 fourth hole has an island green surrounded by water, with bunkers dividing the green into distinct sections. Precision is essential; finding dry land remains the priority, and making par is a real achievement.

Additional notable holes include the downhill par-5 seventh, where water protects a crescent-moon green. The near-90-degree dogleg-left par-5 ninth is framed by water along both the fairway and the green.

The par-4 sixteenth has a downhill shot to a small green with water on the right. The uphill par-4 eighteenth ends with a challenging, raised green.
