Club de Golf Terramar
Overview
Just outside of Barcelona, in the coastal town of Sitges, you’ll find Club de Golf Terramar. This golf course combines a classic feel with a fun experience. With the stunning Mediterranean Sea as its backdrop, it’s a favourite spot for those looking to enjoy a relaxing golf holiday in Spain. Offering charm, a good challenge, and great facilities, it’s an ideal choice for your next golf break.
Scenic Layout with a Strategic Design
Club de Golf Terramar is an 18-hole, par-72 course that stretches over 6,200 metres. Opened in 1927, it is one of the oldest golf courses in Spain. Over the years, the layout has been carefully updated to meet modern standards without losing its original character. The course winds through flat terrain, making it enjoyable for golfers while offering enough difficulty to keep things interesting.
Water hazards, mature trees, and well-placed bunkers add to the challenge. The coastal breeze often comes into play, especially on the back nine, requiring smart club selection and strategy.
Signature Holes and Course Highlights
One of the most memorable holes is the par-3 13th. It plays directly toward the sea, with a green that’s guarded by bunkers and surrounded by natural beauty. The closing stretch—especially holes 16 through 18—is particularly strong and known for both its views and strategic demands.
Facilities
Club de Golf Terramar has everything a golfer needs! You’ll find a full driving range for practice, a special area for short game skills, and a putting green. There’s also a great pro shop where you can buy gear, rent equipment, or sign up for lessons with friendly golf experts. When you finish your game, relax at our clubhouse, which has a stylish restaurant and bar. Enjoy meals and drinks while taking in the sea views!
Host of Notable Tournaments
The golf course has held many important events, such as the Ladies European Tour Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open. These tournaments attract some of the best players from all over the world. They show just how great the course is and how important it is in the world of golf in Spain.
