Overview
Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort offers a golf break shaped by dunes, sea, and golf. Located between two sandy beaches on Donegal’s Wild Atlantic Way along Sheephaven Bay, this historic property is known as one of Ireland’s great golf destinations. Rosapenna offers three championship-links experiences ranked among Ireland’s Top 50, making it an ideal choice for golf in Ireland.
Three World-Class Links Courses
Rosapenna features three championship links that deliver classic links golf at its finest.
The Old Tom Morris Links, designed in 1893 by Old Tom Morris, was the first course at Rosapenna. Following the coastline along the bay, it blends seaside holes with dune-framed stretches. The course is easy to walk and is a great way to start your visit to Rosapenna.
Sandy Hills Links, designed by Pat Ruddy, is a bold modern links carved through tall dunes. It delivers elevation changes, views over Sheephaven Bay, and a test shaped by wind, sand, and the Atlantic. Consistently ranked among Ireland’s best courses, it offers a variety of unique, memorable, and challenging holes.
St Patrick’s Links, designed by Tom Doak, set among dunes overlooking the Atlantic, ranks among the world’s best. By creating an 18-hole course on a site large enough for two, Doak delivered through massive dunes, sandy blowouts, and the nearby ocean.
Guests benefit from a practice area and a 12-hole Academy course. If you stay at the hotel, you get priority access and discounts on golf, making it a great place for a golf break in Ireland.
