Hawkstone Park Golf Club – 2 Championship Courses

The club has two 18-hole championship courses —the classic Hawkstone Course and the modern Championship Course—and a 6-hole Academy course ideal for warm-ups or beginners.

The Hawkstone Course, originally opened in 1920 and reconfigured with input from James Braid. It measures around 6,487 yards (par 72). The course has memorable doglegs, elevation changes, well-placed bunkers, and excellent greens.

The Championship Course, opened in 1995, stretches approximately 6,763 yards (par 72, rating 72.8). This course presents a sterner test with rolling fairways, oval-shaped tees, and water hazards that demand precision and power.

Signature Holes and Challenges

Golfers particularly admire the par-5 10th hole (“The Road Hole”) on the Hawkstone Course. This signature hole hugs the cliff top, creating an exciting risk-reward experience.

The Championship Course complements this with its own standout par-5s and water features that enhance both visual appeal and difficulty. Players encounter a mix of blind tee shots, sloping fairways, and cleverly integrated hazards, such as the castle moat on select holes, including the notable par-3 12th.
