The Estate
Overview
Located in the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, The Estate golf course is perfect for golfers of all skill levels. Designed by Karl Litten, this course offers a fun and relaxing experience surrounded by subtropical landscapes. Whether you want an easygoing round or a challenging game, The Estate is a great choice among West Palm Beach golf courses, known for its welcoming design and lovely views.
Course Layout
The Estate has a beautiful 18-hole golf course that is a par-72 layout and stretches up to 6,694 yards from the back tees. The course is situated on flat land and features a park-like setting. It goes through quiet neighbourhoods where homes are set back to keep the area natural and peaceful. The fairways are wide, making it easy for players to hit great drives. The course includes a nice mix of meadows, Florida pines, and lovely plants. With several tee options, ranging from 4,975 to 6,694 yards, it is perfect for both beginners and experienced golfers. This makes it one of the more welcoming and exciting courses at PGA National Resort.
Course Challenges
Golfers will enjoy the fun and challenging holes at The Estate golf course. The course features a mix of easier and tougher holes, keeping each round interesting. With wide fairways and big, friendly greens, players will find plenty of space to hit their shots. There are also shallow bunkers and many water hazards like small ponds, lakes, and canals that require careful aim. Some holes even make players hit their ball over water, adding a fun challenge, especially when approaching the green. Wind can also change how golfers choose their clubs on open holes. Thick trees and out-of-bounds areas make it tricky to drive straight, while sloped greens require good putting skills to avoid three-putts. Overall, this course is great for golfers of all levels, providing chances to score well without being too hard.
Signature Holes
The Estate features some holes that showcase its scenery and watery challenges. Hole 14 is a stunning par-3, often considered the most attractive on the course. It’s surrounded by water and bunkers, and its sloped green can surprise players with how much it breaks.
The excitement continues on the final stretch: Holes 16 and 17 run next to a canal, and players need to make accurate drives to avoid the water on the right. The 18th hole is a tricky par-5 that gives strong players a shot to reach the green in two, but stray shots can lead to trouble with out-of-bounds on the right.
Other memorable holes include Hole 3, a challenging par-3 that requires a long iron or hybrid club, and Hole 4, the toughest driving hole surrounded by thick trees.
