Jameson Golf Links

Overview

Located along the coastline of County Dublin, Jameson Golf Links is a top-notch golf course offering an experience for players. As part of the Portmarnock Resort, this 18-hole championship course features natural sand dunes, stunning sea views, and a smart design that will challenge and inspire golfers.

Course Layout

Jameson Golf Links was first designed by Bernhard Langer and later improved by Jeff Lynch. This golf course offers a classic links-style experience. On the front nine, players enjoy rolling hills, wide fairways, and well-placed bunkers. The back nine is more challenging, with narrower spots to aim for, changes in elevation, and gusty coastal winds. The course winds through natural sand dunes, giving you beautiful views of the Irish Sea and the famous island called Ireland’s Eye.

Standout Holes

One of the best things about Jameson Golf Links is its unique holes. The par-4 15th hole has an amazing view of the ocean and tricky bunkers that challenge your skill and confidence. The par-3 17th hole is very special too—it goes over a deep valley and looks fantastic, but it is also tough to play. This makes it a true highlight of your game!

Facilities

Golfers will love the facilities at the Portmarnock Resort. The clubhouse is friendly and welcoming. It has locker rooms to store your things, a pro shop filled with top-quality gear, and The Jameson Bar, where you can enjoy local food and drinks. There’s also a practice area with a putting green and a short game zone to practice and improve your skills before you hit the course.

Tournaments

Jameson Golf Links is known for hosting important tournaments, like the Irish Open Amateur Championship and several PGA Pro-Am events. This shows that it’s one of the best golf spots in Ireland!
