Mount Juliet Golf Course

Overview

Play golf on the Mount Juliet Golf Course in County Kilkenny, Ireland. This 18-hole championship course is about 7,200 yards long with a par of 72. There are specimen trees, verdant pastures and miles of river scenery, making it one of the most beautiful parkland courses in the world.

Course Layout & Challenges

The course shows Jack Nicklaus’s creative style. Five lakes can be found on six holes, and over 80 bunkers are placed around the course. Water and the bunkers shape every round. Players need to be accurate and plan their shots on every hole, from the first tee to the final green.

Challenges arise naturally from the design. Strategic bunkering and water hazards demand accurate shot selection. Contoured greens and well-placed hazards test every level of player, from complete beginners to title-winning professionals. The result is a memorable and fair examination of golf skill.

Signature Holes on the Mount Juliet Golf Course

Signature holes leave a lasting impression.

From the championship tee on the 3rd hole, golfers face a 180-yard carry over a lake.

The 11th, 13th and 14th holes rank among the most beautiful on the property. Their greens are heavily guarded by bunkers and water.

The 16th presents the course’s most unusual feature: a walled green almost entirely surrounded by a bunker.

These holes capture the character that defines the Mount Juliet experience.

Facilities at Mount Juliet Golf Course

The Golf Academy use TrackMan technology for precise swing analysis and a TopTracer Mobile facility that tracks every shot with advanced accuracy.

There’s also a driving range, chipping areas and putting greens.

PGA pros offer personalised coaching, while a custom-fitting service matches equipment to individual needs.

The clubhouse overlooks the 10th and 18th holes, and the Pro Shop stocks high-end apparel and equipment.
