Signature Course Layout and Design
The Signature Course began as a nine-hole layout and was extended to 18 holes in 1997, with the new section designed by Peter Alliss. Recent remodelling has further enhanced its appeal, blending mature hedgerows, ponds, and undulating fairways with large, receptive greens.
The course is about 6,032 yards from the white tees with a par of 71. The layout provides a balanced test that rewards accurate shot-making and thoughtful course management.
The front nine integrates natural hazards and strategic elements. The back nine delivers memorable drama, culminating in a spectacular finish.
Signature Holes and Challenges
The course features several standout holes that define its character. The 16th hole is a 136-yard par 3 that goes over water to a wide but shallow green. The slope near the green can cause balls to roll back toward the water, so players need to pick the right club.
The 18th hole is an exciting ending, a par 5 with a stream at driving distance and an approach shot over water to an island green. This hole creates lasting memories for players.
Additional challenges include the peninsula tee on the 11th, positioned amid a beautiful lake teeming with wildlife. This adds both scenic beauty and tactical complexity. Water hazards and undulating terrain throughout focus on accuracy and strategy over raw power.
